Where else can you travel, what else can you do, "Momo's Way?"

Besides trips to Iguazú Falls, the Missions, Montevideo, and the countryside in Uruguay you may also put together your own vacation, choosing from several options or working with Momo to create a completely new one.

Some examples:

Stay at an "estancia" for one, two or several months; live the everyday life, learn the language, ride horseback, go on short trips to Montevideo, Chile, or Argentina… This is an ideal option for a young person wishing to learn how to speak Spanish, or for an older one, who wants to take a break from it all. The cost of everyday life in Uruguay is very reasonable, and right now, $500 a month would cover all your living expenses, including delicious meals; contact us for more information on this option.

Join a group of avid horse breeders on their yearly adventure as they crisscross the Uruguayan plains and hills, riding during their beautiful Criollo horses, eating great meals and sleeping under the stars! Every year, this group gets together to show off their horses and their horsemanship, and to have fun. A few guests from overseas are often invited and enjoy the opportunity to participate in a true "insiders' only" activity.

A great combination of "roughing it" and being pampered, this trip is for experienced horseback riders. You may wade through a swamp, cross a river, trot through hills and gallop on the sand - but when it's time for lunch or dinner, someone else will cook, serve and wash up. It will be delicious. And after dinner there will be guitar playing, cards and dancing. Most of the trip takes place near the coast, and it ends on the dunes of the Atlantic.

Another idea - take a canoeing or a whitewater rafting trip. Explore the unspoiled countryside, fishing, camping and enjoying absolute peace and solitude.

Or - live it up in Punta del Este, a glamorous resort with spectacular beaches, golf, and tennis; delicious seafood and fancy shops. Take a break and go on side trips to Isla de Lobos, home to thousands of sea lions and to remote, almost inaccessible Cabo Polonio, with its quaint lighthouse and fishermen huts.

Halfway between Punta del Este and Cabo Polonio you'll find "La Jacinta," a secluded, romantic old farmhouse surrounded by beautiful grounds. A huge barn serves as the central location where guests can mingle for meals, or to play a game of cards; listen to a guitar concert, or learn how to dance the tango. The ocean is a walk or bike ride away, but if you feel too lazy to deal with the Atlantic and its waves, the pool under the tall and fragrant eucalyptus trees is always a good alternative. A few independent cottages with one, two or three bedrooms, bathrooms, and a small kitchen, give visitors the option to make La Jacinta their peaceful "headquarters" while checking out the surrounding beaches and small towns. Besides nearby Punta del Este, local attractions include a well-known Polo Club, where international matches attract teams from as close as Argentina, and as far as South Africa, and horse breeding farms, where "criollo" horses are carefully trained to become a gaucho's most trusted partner.

Another wonderful option is to travel by car across the Andes mountains to visit Chile, a land of great beauty, peaceful and prosperous, and offering a wide variety of scenery.
