Frequently asked questions
These are some of the questions our guests have asked. If
you have others in mind, don't hesitate to contact us!
What's the alternative?
As far as we can tell, the alternatives fall into the following categories - highly
structured and usually highly packed group tours, covering a lot of terrain in
a short period of time - the "If it's Tuesday, it must be Belgium" approach.
Loose tour arrangements, where you are on your own, left to your devices as far
as planning and visiting. And adventure-packed tours that in some instances may
actually flirt with danger, and certainly exhaustion.
Can I speak with others who have chosen Momo's Way?
Yes. We'd be glad to give you with names of people who have traveled and stayed
with us and who can provide you with their own comments and insights.
What's your experience in this type of industry?
I have been working in the hospitality and events industry in several capacities
for many years. My background includes restaurant, and bed and breakfast management,
event planning and public relations.
Can I go alone, or is this really for couples?
Singles as well as couples enjoy our trips, and you can be sure you'll make friends
and will not feel alone.
Am I too old to do it?
Only if you think so! One of our all-time happiest guest is in her early 80s.
Visitors' age is not important, only an open mind and the wish to have a different
type of vacation. The itineraries and schedules are never exhausting, and we do
not visit dangerous places or engage in extreme physical activities.
Is everything really included?
Yes, everything. And we really mean everything. You don't even need to worry about
tips and taxes!
Are there any health risks?
The trip is planned with your peace of mind as a priority. We have carefully selected
all the places we visit. As far as accommodations, we stay in first class hotels
when we are in a city, and at some of the most beautiful and comfortable haciendas
while in the countryside.
How safe are the countries we are visiting?
Our trip does not include countries or areas where there's any unrest.
Do I need to speak Spanish?
No, you don't have to worry about that! If your Spanish is rusty and you want
to practice, it will be a great opportunity of course, but you can have a great
time anyway without knowing a single word of Spanish. You will be with us and
we'll take care of interpreting as needed, and in the larger towns and cities
people have a good working knowledge of English.
How many people are there in the group?
We never take more than fifteen people at one time, and usually the groups are
a lot smaller, often, just four or six people; some of the trips are planned for
individuals only.
Where can I go to learn more about the regions you tour?
We have a series of links to sites that offer valuable information regarding the
geography, history, climate and other important facts of the countries we'll be
visiting.
How about prices?
Since these are highly personalized vacations, the price will depend on
your particular trip, where you want to go, and for how long. One thing never
changes, though when you travel "Momo's Way," everything is included.
To give you an idea of the cost, let's use as an example the "Three-country"
trip, a two-week vacation that includes Buenos Aires, the Iguazú Falls,
and Uruguay. The entire trip, including airfare round-trip coach ticket
from Chicago to Buenos Aires and back all hotels, all meals, transportation,
beverages and snacks; tickets to all events and excursions, tips and taxes, is
$4,800 per person. Couples travelling together receive a discounted fare.
